Peruvian poet Tilsa Otta and translator Farid Matuk read from The Hormone of Darkness: A Playlist (2024) in both the original Spanish and the English translations. Otta shares poems that reflect on the self in relationship to lovers, the universe, and contemporary music including reggaeton and pop.

In this bilingual Spanish and English reading, Balam Rodrigo reads from Libro Centroamericano de los muertos / Central American Book of the Dead (2022), which recounts the lives and violent deaths of migrants crossing through Chiapas, Mexico, memorializing their suffering as they journeyed north. English translations by Dan Bellm are read by Alison Hawthorne Deming.
